This week we started with great visualizing, awesome pattern extensions using both triangular and square numbers, powerful reflections of Remembrance both in art and writing and our Social Justice Club preparing and celebrating their involvement in WE Day!! Wow!

Sorry for the blog silence over the last few days.... We have been so busy.... What a great week has passed and this one will hopefully be just as productive and rewarding!
Last week, we have been working on descriptive imagery and it will continue this week.In Math, we are patterning and labeling it on a graph, as well as comparing two different patterning for common multiples. Then we had a great afternoon of "Pumpkin Ponderings"- math, science, creative writing all wrapped in one pulp-like afternoon. Measurement, number sense and even a discussion of Archimedes Principle came into play!!! In Language,we continued the technique of personification from our enjoyment of Widow's Broom and applied it to our pumpkins!!! The highlight of the week was our Dance-a-thon. Our sixes thoroughly enjoyed themselves and our Cheerleaders did a great job to promote school spirit. Also our Social Justice Group collected the many canned food items that our amazing students donated as entry to the dance. What a great week!!! |
