Math Talks- subtracting and Which One Doesn't Belong
Writing-"The Meanest Teacher in the World"- (Each day, I add a sentence to a fictional and hopefully funny story about our class and the students correct all the grammatical errors.)
Reading- Asking thicker questions to develop a deeper understanding. Using R.A.P. or R.O.P.E. to answer questions. R- restate the question, A- answer with your own ideas, P- adding textual support as proof or R- restate, O- opinions, P- proof, E- examples.
Science- Ecosystems (Biomes)-Plants around our world Habitats (Gr. 3), Animals in Habitats (Gr. 4) Finish in-class assignment
Family Life/Religion- W.I.T.S. - Backpacking with Jesus through Lent- 40 Days
I am very proud to say that my class and volunteer junior students are partaking in The Yellow Ribbon Project with St. Mark's High School. We are creating a message of thanks to a soldier on each end of the ribbon. When complete, our ribbons will be a part of the 3598 yellow Ribbons that will then be attached to The Vimy Memorial Bridge in Nepean.

Gym- Cooperative Games with leprechaun theme, introduction to baseball
Health- making good choices W.I.T.S.
Music- Gr. 3 clapping patterns, Gr. 4- notes on treble clef staff and drumming patterns
